In plain English

  • Read, browse, share, quote with attribution — all fine, and welcome.
  • Scraping the catalogue, training a model on it, or hammering the site with automation — not fine.
  • Probing the internal panels or the API is a criminal offence in Pakistan, not merely a breach of these terms.
  • Good-faith security research is the exception, and it is invited — see the disclosure policy.

A summary, and a reading aid only. The numbered sections below are the operative terms, and where the two differ the sections are what apply.

#1. What is prohibited

You must not use this site, or anything reached from it, to do any of the following.

Extraction and republication
Scraping, crawling beyond normal search-engine behaviour, harvesting, or systematically downloading the catalogue, the journal or the photography; republishing a substantial part of it anywhere; or using it as a dataset to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model. The last of these is stated explicitly because it is now the most common form of the first.
Load and automation
Automated requests at a rate that degrades the site for other people, denial-of-service, or any script that places orders, submits reviews or fills forms without a person behind it.
Security
Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of any part of the system without authorisation; attempting to reach the admin, POS, warehouse, accounts or social panels; interfering with security rules, App Check or authentication; introducing malware; or attempting to access data that is not yours.
Fraud and impersonation
Placing an order you do not intend to pay for; using someone else's payment details; impersonating us, our staff or another customer; setting up an account, page or profile that suggests it is ours; or attempting a chargeback on goods you have received and kept.
Content
Submitting anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, or infringing someone's copyright or privacy; posting a review for a purchase that did not happen; or submitting anything designed to execute in another visitor's browser.
Commercial misuse
Reselling access to the site, using it to advertise a competing business, sending unsolicited commercial messages to any address published here, or misusing an enquiry form as a marketing channel.

#2. What is explicitly allowed

So that the section above does not read more broadly than it means:

  • Search-engine crawling within robots.txt. Google, Bing and the ad crawlers are welcome and are named there.
  • Saving or printing pages for your own use, including sending a product page to your architect or your carpenter.
  • Quoting a paragraph of a journal article with attribution and a link. We would like the link, not a licence fee.
  • Linking to any page here, from anywhere, without asking.
  • Using a screen reader, a browser extension, an ad blocker or any accessibility tool. Blocking advertising is your right and we do not detect or penalise it.
  • Good-faith security research within the Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy — which is the authorisation the security paragraph above refers to.

#3. What happens if you breach it

Proportionate to what happened, and in this order where the order makes sense: a warning; removal of the offending content; rate limiting; a block by address or network; cancellation of orders; referral to the platform involved; and, for anything serious, referral to law enforcement.

Unauthorised access to an information system, unauthorised copying of data, and interference with a system are offences under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, carrying imprisonment and fines. Copyright infringement is actionable under the Copyright Ordinance 1962. We report serious incidents and we cooperate fully with investigations.

We will also seek an injunction and damages where a breach causes real commercial harm — systematic scraping of the catalogue by a competitor being the obvious case.

#4. Reporting misuse

Content or conduct that breaches this policy: legal@vevarte.com. Security vulnerabilities: security@vevarte.com, and please read the disclosure policy first. Copyright: copyright@vevarte.com and the IP & DMCA policy.

Reports are read by a person. Say what you found, where, and when — a URL and a timestamp is usually enough.
