#1. Who is selling, and to whom
The seller is VEVARTE, of E-100/14, Lower Ground, Main Boulevard, DHA, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. In these terms "we" and "us" mean VEVARTE; "you" means the person or organisation placing the order.
You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering a contract under the Contract Act 1872. Ordering on behalf of a company means you warrant you are authorised to bind it, and the company is the buyer.
#2. How an order becomes a contract
- Everything shown on this site is an invitation to treat, not an offer. A price or an "in stock" badge does not oblige us to sell.
- Placing an order is your offer to buy on these terms.
- The automatic email or WhatsApp message acknowledging the order is a receipt, not an acceptance. It confirms we have it; it does not form a contract.
- The contract forms when we send an Order Confirmation naming a delivery window — or, for a stocked item bought in the showroom, when you pay and take it away.
- For a commission, the contract forms when you approve the drawing and the deposit clears. The approved drawing, not the website photograph, is the specification.
We may decline any order before confirmation, and will refund any payment in full within seven days if we do. Reasons include: the piece has sold, the price or description was wrong, we cannot deliver to the address, the payment failed verification, or the order looks fraudulent. We do not need to give a reason, but in practice we always do.
#3. Description, materials and natural variation
We describe pieces as accurately as we can and photograph them as they are. Two things nonetheless vary, and both are properties of the materials rather than defects:
- Natural variation. Timber grain and colour, marble and onyx veining, leather markings, hand-applied finishes and hand-knotted rugs differ piece to piece. Two of the same console will not be identical, and a piece will not exactly match its photograph. This is the reason to buy solid timber rather than laminate, and it is not a ground for return as faulty.
- Screen rendering. Colour on your screen depends on the display, its calibration and the light in your room. For anything where the exact tone matters, ask us for a physical sample before ordering — we send them free within Lahore, and it takes two days.
Dimensions are stated to the nearest centimetre with a manufacturing tolerance of ±2cm on any face, and ±3cm on commissioned pieces over two metres. Where a piece must fit an exact opening, tell us the opening before you order and we will build to it and state the tolerance in writing.
Timber is a hygroscopic material: it takes up and gives off moisture, and in Lahore's humidity range it will move seasonally. Small movement, hairline checking in end grain, and a door that sits marginally differently in August than in January are normal in solid wood and are excluded from the guarantee. #4. Price and tax
All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and, unless a page says otherwise, include general sales tax at 18% where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay — see the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
The price is fixed at Order Confirmation and does not move afterwards, even if we reprice the piece the following week. Full detail — quotations, deposits, price errors, promotions — is in the Pricing & Payments Policy.
#5. Title and risk
Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to your address and unloaded, or when you collect them from the showroom. Until that moment damage in transit is ours — with the single exception of a collection you arrange with your own carrier, where risk passes as the goods leave our premises.
Title passes only when we have received payment in full. Until then the goods remain our property, and where payment is outstanding beyond the agreed terms we may enter the premises where they are held, with reasonable notice, to recover them. This is a standard retention-of-title provision and it exists for unpaid balances, not as a routine remedy.
#6. Inspection on delivery
Our crew unwraps every piece in front of you and waits while you look at it. Please do look — this is the moment when transit damage is easiest to resolve, and we would much rather take a piece back on the same truck than argue about it a fortnight later.
Sign the delivery note only once you are satisfied. Signing "received in good condition" for a piece you have not unwrapped makes a later claim harder for both of us. Visible damage or a wrong item must be reported within 48 hours, with a photograph, to sales@vevarte.com or on WhatsApp. Hidden defects are covered by the guarantee for its full term.
#7. Your statutory rights
Under the Sale of Goods Act 1930 goods must correspond with their description and be of merchantable quality, and where you have made a purpose known to us and relied on our judgement, they must be reasonably fit for that purpose. the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005 gives you additional remedies against defective goods and misleading claims, enforceable in the District Consumer Court, Lahore.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any of that. Our returns, refunds and guarantee terms sit on top of your statutory rights, never instead of them, and where anything in this document is inconsistent with a right the law gives you, the law applies and the clause does not.
#8. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any clause below that would have that effect does not apply.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the price paid for the goods in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — loss of profit, loss of business, loss of an opportunity, or the cost of a substitute hire — except where such loss was reasonably foreseeable and made known to us in writing before the contract was formed.
We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, by an alteration or repair carried out by someone else, by placing a piece outdoors when it was sold for indoor use, by exposure to direct sunlight or a heat source, or by an event beyond our reasonable control — which for a Lahore business realistically means flooding, prolonged power failure, civil disturbance, import restriction or a workshop fire.
#9. Assembly, installation and fixing to the fabric of a building
Our crew assembles what we deliver and places it where you want it. Assembly is included in the delivery charge.
Wall fixing is different. Tall bookcases, wardrobes and mirrors can be anchored to a wall on request, and we recommend it in any house with children. We do it free, but we can only be responsible for the anchor itself — not for the wall. Where the substrate is hollow block, poorly rendered brick or an unknown build-up, we will tell you and record it on the delivery note, and the fixing is then at your risk. Where a fixing must pass through a service run, that is a job for your own electrician.
#10. Governing law, disputes and general
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Lahore, Punjab. As a consumer you may instead take a complaint to the District Consumer Court, Lahore, and this clause does not restrict that in any way.

- If any clause is found unenforceable, it is severed and the rest stands.
- A delay by us in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign your rights under an order without our consent. We may assign ours on a sale of the business, without reducing what you are owed.
- Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
- These terms, the Order Confirmation and any approved drawing are the whole agreement, and supersede anything said beforehand — though nothing here excludes liability for a fraudulent misrepresentation.
