#1. The rules we bind ourselves to
- No incentives. No discount, entry into a draw, free delivery or gift in exchange for a review or a rating. An incentivised review is worthless as information and, where the incentive is undisclosed, it is a misleading commercial practice.
- No filtering by rating. We do not ask happy customers for reviews and quietly skip the unhappy ones. Everyone who buys gets the same request.
- No editing. We do not alter the words of a review. We publish it or, in the narrow cases in section 4, we do not.
- No fabrication. We have never written a review under another name and never will. It is fraud, and under Pakistani consumer and competition law it is actionable.
- No suppression. A negative review is not removed because it is negative, and a review is never removed because a piece is being repaired under guarantee.
We reply to criticism in public, under our own name, and we say what we are doing about it. That is more use to the next reader than a clean page.
#2. Verification
Reviews are invited after delivery, by a message to the number on the order. A review linked to an order is marked Verified purchase and the badge means exactly that: our records show this person bought this piece.
Unverified reviews — someone who bought in the showroom without leaving details, or who is writing about a visit rather than a purchase — are published without the badge. We do not hide them and we do not pretend they are verified.
#3. Writing one
The reviews people find useful say what the room is like, how the piece behaves in daily use, whether the delivery went well and whether the finish matched expectations. A photograph in situ is worth several paragraphs.
- Use a display name — your first name and last initial is plenty. Do not publish your full address or phone number, and we will redact them if you do.
- Do not include other people's personal information, or a photograph of someone who has not agreed to appear.
- Be specific about a problem if you had one. "The left drawer sticks" gets fixed; "disappointing" does not.
#4. What we will not publish
A short and closed list, applied to abuse rather than to criticism:
- Unlawful content — defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, or inciting violence.
- Personal information: phone numbers, addresses, payment details, or the name of a member of staff in a complaint. Tell us the name privately and we will deal with it properly.
- Content infringing someone's copyright, or a photograph you did not take.
- Spam, advertising, links to other businesses, or SEO material.
- Reviews about a transaction that did not happen, or reviews posted by a competitor.
- Content about a matter in active legal proceedings between us and the writer.
- Anything unrelated — a complaint about a courier we did not use, or a political statement.
We tell you when a review is not published and why, at the address you submitted it from, and you can correct and resubmit. Reviews are read within two working days and published or refused inside that. We do not have a queue in which inconvenient reviews get lost.
#5. The licence you give us
You keep every right you have in what you submit. By submitting it for publication you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and adapt it for length in connection with this business — meaning on the product page, in the shop, in a social post, or in marketing material.
- You confirm the content is yours, is your genuine experience, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- The licence lasts until you withdraw it. Withdraw it and we stop using it, including in material we are preparing.
- We cannot recall a printed brochure or a social post that has already been shared onward by someone else, and we say so rather than promising otherwise.
- We will credit you as you asked to be credited, or anonymously if you prefer.
#6. Removing your review, or reporting one
To remove your own review: email sales@vevarte.com from the address you used, or WhatsApp the number on the order. No reason needed, no attempt to talk you out of it, and it comes down within two working days.
To report someone else's review as unlawful, fake, or about you: legal@vevarte.com. Say which review and what is wrong with it. We investigate within five working days, and where a review is about an identifiable member of staff or contains someone's personal information we hide it while we look.
Reviews are also personal data. Every right in the Privacy Policy — access, correction, deletion — applies to yours.
#7. How reviews are displayed
The rating shown for a piece is the unweighted mean of every published review of it, and the count is the real number. We do not exclude low scores from the average, do not carry a rating across from a different product, and do not seed a new product with a rating.
Review data is emitted as structured data for search engines only where it is genuine and attached to the specific product, in line with Google's review snippet guidelines. We do not mark up an aggregate rating that has no reviews behind it.
